About Me

The famous writer Chuck Palahniuk explains, “I usually write in my kitchen, which is a large, octagonal room that looks into woods - three big windows look out into the trees.” This reminds us that windows exist to let us enjoy the beauty and excitement of the world outside from the comfort of our homes and offices. Far too often we have come to think of windows as ways to close ourselves off and remain hidden from outsiders. I’m Mena, and ever since I was a child, I have refused to put curtains or blinds on my windows. I have always wanted to see beyond the four walls surrounding me and let the light stream in. I have started this blog to talk about all the ways windows can help us enjoy our homes a little bit more. I hope you find my jottings enlightening and thought-provoking. Thank you.
